The appointment of Steve McClaren as Newcastle boss has been met with differing opinions by the Toon faithful. The price would apparently be somewhere in the region of £10m for a player who was born in Germany but has played 28 times for Cameroon due to his father.
He’s also been picked when fit for Schalke over the last 6 years in which he has played over 200 times since 2009.
He looks like a capable defender and one with good feet. At a towering 6ft 4in he shouldn’t have too many problems settling into the physical side of The Premier League and will certainly be able to offer power in the aerial duels and from set pieces.
