Chelsea already look very strong but they ran out of ideas fairly early on in Europe and that will be Jose Mourinho’s main concern as he plans for next season.
We don’t expect massive changes this summer but Chelsea may well look at the spine of their side in terms of the main area of possible improvement.
Centre Back
Gary Cahill and John Terry formed an excellent partnership last season but we think that the centre of defence could use some more pace. Chelsea have been linked to a move for Raphael Varane of Real Madrid and we have been hugely impressed by this lad. To say that he reminds us of Rio Ferdinand is high praise indeed and, if Chelsea can prise him away from Spain, they will have done superb business.
Midfield
There has been talk of some time of another defensive midfielder coming to the club. Nemanja Matic has been a revelation and he may be joined by the superb Belgian Axel Witsel, who has been linked to a big money move this week. Those would free up Cesc Fabregas to play further up the park.
Up Top
Radamel Falcao is on his way to Chelsea. But with Loic Remy potentially also leaving Chelsea may well go for another striker. With so much experience in the shape of Falcao and Costa we would expect a younger signing who can make his way up the pecking order over time. Alexandre Lacazette perhaps?
So here is how Chelsea might ideally start next season, with that superb added pace of Varane at the back and added steel in the midfield. Chelsea fans would this be a stronger side than the one which finished last season?

Comment: i dnt knw wat jose is tinkin abt signing players. We nid a solid guy beside matic, replacement for fabregas in case of injury & suspension, back up for costa, a striker like him also building more on hazard to have a scoring instinct.

witsel, song and dembele are good players to feature in chelsea team come next season. but I believe Alex song has had quite an upper hand with his experience in the top flight and more especially his performance for westham last season was superb only that he form dipped towards the ending of the season.
To me, song was the one reason why westham attained the level they reached

Oscar sud not go incase of fabregas ingury while greisman sud b signed to compete with willian at d wing since falcao is coming on a loan deal. Comment:to me, i wuld rather go for john stones as defender because of his home grown status, young age and especially his fast adaptive experience in the premier league and i wil also go for witsel in midfield. As in the guy is very good on both defence, on the ball and even in attack. Then lacazette wil be a good addition to the attack because of his rapid speed, his dribbling ability and most especialy his goal scoring exploit. He is realy a goal maching.
