Many to most expect Real Madrid to once more look for attackers this summer. With Barcelona ruining everyone with their front three of Suarez, Messi and Neymar, new Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez may look to tweak up top and add another superstar.
But latest reports suggest that the club may be interested in signing another tough tackling midfielder, with the player’s agent implying that Los Blancos could be keen. The Daily Star quotes agent, Ludovico Spinosi, as saying:
“Nainggolan will continue at Roma, when it comes to Real Madrid things can change.
“[Club president James] Pallotta knows that Nainggolan is very important and that he can have numerous offers for the player. Watch out for Real Madrid.”
At 27 the Belgian international has played just 12 times for his country since his debut in 2009. But his recent form has been sensational. Since he signed permanently for Roma last summer he has been an ever present in the side, mopping up dangerous attacks and forcing his team forward with his high energy, Vidalesque, style of play.
He may not be top of the wanted list for Real Madrid but the words of his agent suggest that he may know something that we don’t.
