Dani Alves has proved beyond all doubt, with his latest Champions League final outing, that he is anything but finished.
One of the most energetic players on the pitch, at 32, he got up and down the flank with ease all night and was even seen haranguing the referee late on. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to suggest that he was one of Barcelona’s better players on the night.
Alves has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the last year but he has dealt them a potential hammer blow but stating that he would be happy to join Milan, who have reportedly made an offer for the accomplished Brazilian. He is quoted, by Talksport, as saying:
“It would be a pleasure to join Milan.
“There is a proposal from Italy and I will evaluate all the alternatives before deciding.”
Alves would certainly bring experience to Manchester United. He has played 79 times for Brazil, scoring 6 times, and has also been a nailed on starter for Barcelona through the most successful period of their history, having played 343 goals ad scored 20 goals over the last 7 years for the Catalan giants.
Let’s see him in action. Manchester United fans: worth pushing the boat out for?
