It looks as if it could be a fascinating couple of weeks for Manchester United as the rumour mills go into overdrive about new arrivals.

Dani Alves has reportedly agreed personal terms with the club ahead of a move on July 1st, and Raheem Sterling has reportedly admitted that he would be open to move to Manchester United.

And latest repots suggest that Manchester United have agreed personal terms with one of the best midfielders in The Premier League who has been regularly linked to Arsenal. The Independent states:

Frenchman Schneiderlin looks set to join Manchester United, with the Saints midfielder reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Old Trafford club.

The 25-year-old could be United’s second addition this summer, after Memphis Depay.

For our money this could be Manchester United’s best move of the summer. Last season they looked worryingly soft-centred when the imperious Michael Carrick wasn’t fit and it’s an area of the team that needs addressing more than anywhere else.

Like Carrick, Arsenal target Schneiderlin is a quietly efficient and classy operator. Some of his work goes under the radar as he pre-empts attacks and distributes the ball beautifully. He also likes to get forward and score goals. At 25 he looks like an absolute beauty for Manchester United, who would struggle to do a better deal this summer.

Arsenal have long been credited with an interest in the lad and may now have to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans: would this be the best defensive midfield addition that the club could make?
