Personal Terms Agreed: How Manchester United could line up with duo who have agreed deals to join the club according to reports

Bewitching

It’s really hotting up for Manchester United now isn’t it? After the devastatingly good early summer signing of Memphis Depay Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal began the close season on the front foot. And how he would like to get the rest of his business done early so that the whole new squad can bed in together on the pre-seaon tour of America.

Latest reports suggest that Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Dani Alves and Morgan Schneiderlin, who will confirm moves to the club when the window official opens on July 1st. With Depay to officially join then too, it could be some photocall at Old Trafford that day.

The other huge story is of course about the potential signing of Raheem Sterling for Manchester United. He’d be a wonderful addition to the side and it would seem that Louis would be attempting to revisit the template which served him so well at Bayern Munchen – with two flyers (Robben and Ribery) either side of a top striker in a 4-3-3.

We should say that the Sterling deal is still unlikely and Manchester United would have to break through some almost insurmountable barriers to snare him. But let’s imagine for a second that Manchester United do have their way. How would Manchester United line up next season?

We would love to see Angel di Maria retained. It’s so difficult to sign world class stars and although Di Maria had a stinker last season he still has so much to offer. With Schneiderlin anchoring the midfield brilliantly Herrera could form the link midfield and attack (although he would have job on his hands to get in the team ahead of Carrick) – and what an attack! Raheem, Depay and Di Maria interchanging behind Wayne Rooney? The mouth dribbles uncontrollably.

Here is that possible XI. Manchester United fans: the dream team?
