This one could end up being one of the great stories of The Premier League. Radamel Falcao had a shocking season at Manchester United, scoring 4 goals in 29 games for his new club.

But wouldn’t it just be so typical of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to bring Falcao back from the brink and turn him into a top striker again?

That appears to be the plan as reports suggest that Chelsea are in talks to sign the player this summer. The Daily Mail asserts:

Chelsea opened talks with Radamel Falcao and his representatives on Friday over the possibility of taking the Colombia striker to Stamford Bridge.

His agent Jorge Mendes has been offering the former Porto and Atletico Madrid striker around Europe and is said to be increasingly confident that a deal can be done with Chelsea.

Falcao has been well off the pace since his injury. But anyone who saw him prior to that will know that he can be the very best. At 29 he’s still got loads of time and Chelsea could be about to do the deal of the summer. Because, with the right tutelage and affection, he can do the business for Chelsea next season.

With Didier Drogba leaving the club Falcao could be the perfect, experienced striker to call on, even in big games, if there is a last minute injury to Diego Costa. And, who knows, if RadFal finds his form again perhaps he will be competing for the number 9 spot on a permanent basis.

Let’s see the lad in action. Chelsea fans: potentially massive coup?

Falcao good replacement for legend Didier Drogba. Pogba very good support for Matic and the midfield will be complete.
