Pure Class

Arsene Wenger is always very coy about Arsenal transfers so it came as a great relief to hear him admitting this week that he likes the cut of Arturo Vidal’s jib. Manchester United were keen last year but concerns over his long-standing knee problems put paid to any move.

But the lad came through the season with flying colours for Juventus and was integral to their surge to The Champions League final. Yet rumours persist that he will make a big move this summer and The Express quotes the Arsenal manager as saying:

“Yes, I like Vidal but are we in transfer mode? I say no.”

We really hope that Wenger doesn’t wait too long on this one because Arsenal won’t be the only club interested in the dynamo.

And who better to finally replace Patrick Vieira than this guy? He’s just turned 28 and is one of the best screens that you could want for your back line. He guards the defence as if his life depends on it and loves to get stuck into the challenge. He’s mobile and has a lovely passing range.

The real bonus is that he also scores goals. He loves to arrive late in the box and has a sweet strike that has bagged him about a goal every four games for Juventus.

This signing can win Arsenal the title, if only Wenger moves decisively.

Let’s see Vidal in action. Arsenal fans: a must buy?
