PICTURE: How Arsenal could line up next season with Cech and Schneiderlin

Arsenal were once more close but no cigar this season. Arsene Wenger may be happy with back to back FA Cup finals – and indeed, it’s good to be winning again – but most Arsenal fans expect more.

And the frustrating thing is that the weaknesses in the team are so glaring that any casual observer could tell you what Arsenal needs. Hopefully, this summer, the Arsenal manager will finally pull his finger out and remedy the issues so that his myriad of attacking options can be optimised.

Cech

Stop arsing abart with substandard keepers and buy a titan of the game. He isn’t quite the keeper of old but we guarantee he won’t let Arsenal down and the fans will be more than pleased to have him come next May.

Cech - still a top stopper

Cech – still a top stopper

Kondogbia

We think this guy is mustard. He’s developing into something of a defensive midfielder. But we would buy him and pop him in defence for a couple of years at least. The 22 year old Monaco man is powerful, quick and technically brilliant. He’d be the rock that the Arsenal defence still needs.

Schneiderlin

Over the last few weeks Arsene Wenger has had the sort of gleeful look on his face which would suggest that Arsenal won the title. We do sometimes wonder whether he’s a genius or a madman.

But, if he really wants to win something big he needs another anchor man. For our money Francis Coquelin has played well but, more than anything, he’s highlighted the desperate need that Arsenal have for that type of player in their side. Coquelin is good but Schneiderlin would really make a difference in there – to the extent that you might actually expect a proper performance when Arsenal get into the knockout stages of The Champions League, rather than a bye for the opposition.

Gonzalo Higuain

Welbeck doesn’t score regularly. Giroud does but can struggle against topposition. Higuain scores big goals in big games. He would absolutely gobble up the service that he would get from Sanchez, Ox, Walcott, Cazorla etc. and give Arsenal the cutting edge that they so often lack in the latter stages of tournaments.

So here’s our perfect XI for Arsenal next season. With these four the title would be in the bag.

Arsenal fans: agreed?

Keep on dreaming son, dreams are free.

Higuain and Schneiderlin are on Spuds books
and Kondogbia is a Chelski member of their squad

Cech is a PSG player, possibly.

Higuain and Schneiderlin would obviously choose Arsenal ahead of Spurs (who wouldn’t?).

Kondogbia is on big money at another vile Oligarch reliant team so doubt he will move on.

I can see Cazorla going so Wilshere and Ramsey will have to fight over the one place, in fact with their injury records they can share quite easily..

Also I would say Benzema is possible instead of Higuain.

      I would go with:
      LLoris,
      Debuchy Gabriel Koscielny Monreal
      Ox Wilshere Schneiderlin Ozil
      Sanchez Benzema
Subs: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Coquelin, Ramsey, Walcott, Welbeck, Rosicky

Sell: Giroud £10-15m, Sczezny £8-12m, Cazorla £10-12m, Flamini/Arteta out of contract

Get real Zoljo firstly Higuain would never go Spurs and Schneiderlin has already stipulated he wants CPL football so that’s Spuds out the picture and Cech hasn’t decided so where are you getting your info from mate???

I kind of agree with you a bit, but Kondogbia is not a tested defender. And moreso I don’t see the possibility of Gonzalo Higuain joining Arsenal next season.
