Class

Jose Mourinho may look to strengthen in several areas this summer, most notably with another centre back and midfielder.

But we often say that there is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and Chelsea keep getting linked to more wide men. This would suggest that they are looking to further bolster in one of the most important areas of the squad for Jose.

Because he looks for a very specific type of player for that wide role in the 4-2-3-1. Not only must these inside forwards be superb attackers who can beat a man, assist and score goals. But they also need to have the engine to do a job in defence.

In Willian and Hazard, Chelsea already have two of the best. But with Salah and Schurrle gone, and Cuadrado not yet finding his feet in The Premier League, Chelsea look keen to do another deal. Step forward Antoine Griezmann who seems to be getting linked with Chelsea ever more regularly.

The Star has now weighed in with:

According to reports, the Spanish outfit have told the Blues they will have to trigger his £46m release clause if they are to prise him away from the Vicente Calderon.

There is no doubt that this guy is class. He’s scored a remarkable 25 goals in 54 games in his first season at Atletico Madrid, mainly from wide positions, and they may well struggle to hols on to him this summer.

Griezmann: One of the form players in Europe

FINAL WORD: We think that Willian and Hazard are class but few Chelsea fans would argue if Jose wanted to bring in another player of such quality who could also do a job in the hole at number 10.

Let’s see the lad in action. Chelsea fans: a no-brainer?
