Manchester United Transfers: LvG about to make a huge mistake – report

Don’t do it

Manchester United fans may be pleased to see the back of Angel di Maria, after a season in which he has categorically failed to justify the record transfer fee that Manchester United paid last summer.

But for us the goal at Leicester, which was almost impossible to fluke, demonstrated the real genius of the man, pre-burglary attempt on his house.

So, if Manchester United let him go after one season we think that LvG will be making a big mistake. Which is why today’s tabloid stories are worrying. The Mirror reckons:

Angel Di Maria edges closer to Manchester United exit with PSG ‘offering Gregory van der Wiel in exchange’

The reality is that Manchester United have a tiny handful of players as good as Di Maria in their current squad. If they can sign a better replacement then it might be worth considering letting him go, if he’s truly unhappy.

But even if Manchester United did get Gareth Bale, for example, we would simply play Di Maria elsewhere. He’s not just a brilliant player – he’s also a very adaptable one who can play on either flank or through the middle with similar impact.

So, while players like Mata, Young and Fellaini would be dispensable to us, we think Manchester United should hold onto Di Maria for one more year and nurture the best out of him. Because he has pace, power and guile – exactly what the best Manchester United teams have always possessed.

definitely keep him he’s a world class player after the world cup he was hyped as the 3rd best player and after one bad season people want to get rid of him. On his worst season he has the second most assists, why on earth would you get rid of him!! Definite keep!
