Manchester United XI vs Palace: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young, Rooney
Manchester United are on their worst run in the league for over a decade and, with a Champions League berth now in serious danger again, they will be desperate to stop the rot against Crystal Palace.
But it wont be easy. Crystal Palace are a tasty side under Alan Pardew and seem to be loving their football right now. Even though they are mid-table and safe, Wilfried Zaha in particular, will have the bit between his teeth as a reminder to Manchester United of the quality that they offloaded in the summer.
As for Manchester United, they seem to have been found out over the last few games, as the simple tactic of man-marking Marouane Fellaini has stemmed his and United’s attacking potency. On the other flank, Juan Mata has got back in his box after a real spike in form a month ago. Questions may resurface about his overall effectiveness and suitability for this Manchester United side if he contains to drift through games.
It’s a must win for Manchester United.
