Real Madrid: World Class transfer now inevitable?

Off?

With just a year left on his contract, David de Gea has remained strangely quiet about his future. That is not the case with the media, which has been very vocal in speculating that the lad wants to join Real Madrid this summer.

And latest reports suggest that his team mates at United are now convinced that he wants to swap England for Spain this summer. British media outlet The Daily Mirror states:

Manchester United stars fear David De Gea is determined to join Real Madrid this summer

It is odd that a club as big as United hasn’t sorted out the contract of one of its biggest stars. It has lead many to assume that the player feels that this summer is the right time to make the move.

At 24 years of age he’s coming into his peak. And, having watched him many times this season, we believe that he would massively improve the quality of Real Madrid. Casillas has been a legend for the club but his powers have waned and Madrid need new blood fast. They could go for a seasoned pro like Petr Cech. But the better, longer term option would of course be De Gea. He’s an absolute natural and some of his saves ostensibly defy physics.

He’s appears to have glue on his gloves, such is his handling ability. And he has to be one of the hardest keepers in the world to beat in a one on one situation because of his reflexes and technique.

De Gea is a Ferrari of a football player and he would have a huge career at Real Madrid – possibly even eclipsing that of Casillas. But Madrid will still have a big fight on their hands if they want to sign him. Because you could name, on the fingers of one hand, the keepers who are currently as good as him in world football.

Let’s see him in action. Real Madrid fans: a must buy?
