Potential

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Arsenal are interested of course. But Anderlecht winger Andy Najar, who has been having a good season in Holland, says:

“I would like to go to English football and have always had a team in England which has been my dream – Arsenal. I keep that in mind.

“When I was little I liked Thierry Henry and I always had this dream of reaching Arsenal.”

Didn’t we all darling. Didn’t we all.

So has he got a chance of fulfilling his dream and moving to The Emirates and Arsenal?

Well, at 22, his development has been impressive hitherto. The Honduran began his professional career at DC United, where he made his debut as a raw teenager in 2010. But it didn’t take him long to adapt and he played 92 games in three seasons at the club, scoring 13 goals.

His quality didn’t go unnoticed in Holland and he moved to Anderlecht a coupe of years ago. There he has been a mainstay of the team and hit 6 goals in 50 games for the club.

Rather unusually for a 22 year old he has already represented Honduras at full international level on 23 occasions, scoring 3 goals.

He’s an intelligent and efficient player who possesses trickery and pace. Whether he has the talent to play for Arsenal is debatable. Let’s see him in action and you can form your own opinion.
