Offski?

There is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and this is a Real Madrid transfer link that just won’t go away.

British media outlet, The Daily Mail, reports once more that Real Madrid are still pursuing Manchester United’s cat like goalkeeper David De Gea and are prepared to wait as long as it takes to secure him.

Real Madrid want David De Gea, but they will wait until 2016 and grab him for free if Manchester United won’t do a deal

Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois has also been superb in The Premier League this season. But for pure, spectacular, feline class, De Gea has to be the stand out performer between the sticks in England this year. His performance should win him The Player of The Year award at United again this season – the first time a keeper has won back to back gongs at the club.

Manchester United are, of course, also one of the biggest clubs in the world and have no financial need to sell. But we all know that player power is all important these days. De Gea is young, Spanish and Real Madrid need a long term replacement to steps into the huge boots of Iker Casillas – it’s difficult to imagine a better fit than De Gea. If he wants to go then Manchester United will have to decide whether they want to make any money out of the deal or let his contract expire next year.

United fans adore their cool and acrobatic keeper but this move has felt inevitable for years. Perhaps United bought Victor Valdes in the knowledge that De Gea would soon be off?

Let’s see the cat in action. Real madrid fans: perfect option?
