Manchester United: Bids considered for 128 cap duo

United fans are yet to see the best of Di Maria

Offski?

Manchester United will surely be one of the busier clubs in the market again in the summer as they look to complete the facelift that began with the arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager in the summer of 2014.

And latest reports suggest that two European giants could be about to bid for a couple of Manchester United’s high profile but unsettled attackers.

Angel di Maria

The Daily Mail reports that PSG may offer the off-form Angel di Maria an exit route out of Manchester United by making a bid this summer.

PSG also retain a strong interest in Angel di Maria but United are reluctant to sell.

We think that this story makes a lot of sense. Although many would like to see the 57 cap Argentine stay at Old Trafford, Di Maria is too expensive to leave on the bench. But, on current form, he arguably doesn’t merit a place in the side.

Chicharito

The same source says that Wolfsburg fancy Chicharito, who is unlikely to get a reprieve under Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

Possibly one of the more popular players of all time at United, Hernandez never gives less than 100% but his hold up play and all-round game seem a little short of what is required by the Dutchman.

That said, he will make some club very happy because he has many great qualities and always scores at a good rate (39 in 71 for Mexico and 92 in 254 at club level). Manchester United fans will wish him all the best, whoever he ends up.

Di Maria was never my choice to come to United as his performances for Real were up and down each season. His form for United has been just the same and with a ‘short of quality’ squad, Di Maria needed to be something better and he clearly is not… consistentlY!
As for Hernandez, he is a good player but in 90 minutes he does not get involved enough and should move to a team whose ambitions are less than Uniteds.
