We have hardly had a chance to catch our breath after the January window and the media are already speculating about the summer business. The winter window was, admittedly, complete pony. So we expect some bug business in the summer.
Today Manchester United have been linked with:
Dani Alves
The Sun reports that Manchester United will get Dani Alves on a free in the summer if they are prepared to offer the 31 year old (32 in May) a three year deal.
He’s too much of a quick fix for us. At 32 he will be an expensive recruit whose best years are behind him. Manchester United should instead be building for the future with a Clyne or Coleman.
Marquinhos
Now this is more like it. The MEN says that United will renew their interest in the PSG star this summer.
He’s only 20 but plays with such maturity and offers the sort of passing ability that Manchester United are sorely lacking out of the defence right now. But the fee could prove prohibitive.
Hugo Lloris
The Mirror reckons that Manchester United will attempt to sign Lloris if David de Gea moves on.
There is very little not to like about Lloris. We rate him very highly and he has the sort of wow factor that Manchester United fans like to see in their players. He commands his area, has great technique and agility. But we would still take the immaculate, cat-like De Gea any day – he’s a modern marvel.
Let’s see Lloris in action. Manchester United fans: keen?
