We get the feeling that Manchester City fans will have to become accustomed to rumours linking the club with Paul Pogba. It’s happened before and it seems that he’s a favourite for a move to City, amongst the papers at least. What we can assume is that the lad will be involved in a big move somewhere before long.
The Express reports today that:
Manchester City swoop for Chelsea and Manchester United target Paul Pogba
MANCHESTER CITY want to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba as a replacement for talismanic midfielder Yaya Toure.
It doesn’t appear that any new information has come to light on this one. The Express has just decided to wave the story in our faces again this weekend.
But he would fit the bill for Manchester City and offer the forward thrust that the club will lose when Yaya Toure finally departs.
In other news, rumours continue link Stevan Jovetic with a move away from the club. The latest suitor appears to be Juventus, which could set us up for a major swap this summer, with Pogba coming in – few in City blue would argue with that deal would they?
Jovetic has been a decent performer for Manchester City. He always makes his presence felt and doesn’t suffer from a lack of technique. But City strikers simply have to score lots of goals or their positions are questioned. 11 in 32 for City is not a bad record but the lad will want more minutes.
The Star reports:
Juventus desperate to sign Stevan Jovetic from Man City seven years after first attempt
Let’s see Pogba in action. Manchester City fans: is he the next great player for the club or a poor imitation of Yaya?
