We have to say that, even by the standards of modern transfer windows, this one is pretty ridiculous.
Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in Spurs hitman Harry Kane, in latest reports. The Metro reports that Real Madrid are prepared to offload their main number 9 Karim Benzema in order to make the deal happen
They say:
Real Madrid are lining up a shock move for in-form Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
There are even reports that Madrid could sell Karim Benzema in order to fund a move for the 21-year-old forward.
Kane has exploded onto the scene this season with 18 goals in 26 games for his club. He certainly looks as if he is going to be a top player and already has amazing composure for one so young.
Real Madrid may well be interested at some stage in the future if he continues in this fine form. And the notion of Benzema being sold definitely isn’t a new one. But the idea of Real Madrid bringing this guy in after just one really good season is madness.
The player most likely wouldn’t want to go and Madrid will probably wait until the summer before they even begin to consider a reshuffle.
