Optimism

Is it us or are things getting really exciting at Arsenal? Of course the result against Manchester City will be viewed by some as another false dawn. And there is still an obvious need for steely reinforcement in the defensive areas of the squad.

But there is genuine optimism that the club is going forward again. And, although Welbeck (out for another week at least with the thigh problem), Arteta, Wilshere and Debuchy are crocked, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger seems to have an amazing pool of attacking talent to choose from again.

If Theo Walcott can find the form that he was showing when he got hurt and Mesut Ozil can, once and for all, prove that he is worth the price paid, Arsenal will be a supreme attacking force.

In defence, Arsene Wenger needs to spend big bucks to bring in a real leader and an anchor man who you would never have a joke with just in case he takes it the wrong way and offers you outside.

But, with the injured soon to return, Wenger’s biggest problem will be who to leave out.

Brighton away in the cup is a potential banana skin of course and Arsenal, who look fresh, will want to avoid embarrassment by fielding a strong team.

Is it time for Theo and Mesut? Perhaps not both but we may see one start, which may come as something of a surprise as they have been out for so long. Here’s our XI for a game that Arsenal have to win if they want the feel good factor to continue apace. Arsenal fans: let’s have your thoughts.

I prefer Bellerin to Chambers at RB, more pace and really exciting prospect.

Same age as Chambers so let Chambers focus on CB and grow into a CB and let Bellerin get time at RB.

Could be a good time to rest a CB as well, letting Chambers play CB would give him a bit of game time still. Maybe rest Per as he has played a LOT?

Also could this be a good game to restart Szcz?
He knows his spot is under threat and the offer of proving himself could be the kick up the backside he needs. He keeps a clean sheet and Wenger COULD have 2 WC GK to truely have headaches over… Szcz potential isn’t in question but consistantly playing at his potential is, dropping him to the “FA Cup GK” like Fabianski was could do to him what it did for Fabianski.

It gonna be fine if we can rotate our team because using this our 2st team guys always van lead to another injury like it happened to Wright back few weeks back,so I suggest we should use as follow-»bellerin_chambers_colcheny_mneral»coquelin_rosiski»walcot _ozil_cambel..walcot as upfront .
