Most of Arsenal’s targets are well known – at least many sections of the media think so.
And with an obvious need for additions to the defensive areas of the park it’s easy to imagine that will be Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s priority.
But latest reports suggest hat the Frenchman may look to indulge his penchant for creators again, with the latest player to be linked to Arsenal a 23 year old winger form La Liga.
Arsenal and Everton are monitoring Almeria winger Edgar, 23, with the struggling Spanish club ready to sell for £2m.
Edgar Mendez, is a big lad at 6ft 2in. He started out with Tenerife but got two years at Real Madrid between 2007-2009. As with so many kids of that age group, he was moved on before he got a chance to prove himself and ended up at Almeria via 6 different Spanish clubs.
He’s only been at Almeria since the start of the season but made a significant impact scoring 4 goals in 14 games from the wide areas.
At the reported £2m value he may be worth a punt. Let’s take a look at him in action. Arsenal fans: worth a couple of mill or should Arsene be putting all his eggs in the defensive basket right now?
