Having spoken to manu Real Madrid fans over the last few months it seems that one of the most eagerly anticipated potential signings is the superb German winger Marco Reus.
There has been constant speculation about the future of the 25 year old goal scoring winger over the last 12 months as his stock has continued to rise.
It now appears that he has the pick of the top clubs in Europe – and it’s easy to see why as there is very little not too like about this lad on the field of p’ay. He’s quick, intelligent, rarely wastes the ball, has great distribution and scores loads of goals.
Now, his fellow countryman Christophe Metzelder has weighed into the debate. Metzelder, who joined Real Madrid in 2007, reckons that Spain and the Bernabeu would be the best bet for the Dortmund man. He told Bild:
“I think that Real Madrid would be the easier choice. They have a wider global reach than Barcelona, while they signify Catalunya. They are more regional and prefer to give chances to the younger guys.
With Barcelona in the middle of a transfer ban you would imagine that Real Madrid hold the aces with this one. But where would Reus play? He will want guarantees of first team football for whichever club he joins. But would his arrival mean the end for Gareth Bale?
Let’s see Reus in action. Real Madrid fans: a no-brainer?
