Real Madrid always aim for, and regularly sign, players perceived to be among the very best in the world.
Even deals that seem impossible (Ronaldo from Manchester United and Gareth Bale from Tottenham for example) usually get done as the endless stream of money keeps coming until the selling club relents or the player threatens to strike.
If we follow this theory should we not expect David de Gea to be at Real Madrid before long? When you assess the best goalkeepers in the world right now you can’t look too much further than Neuer, Courtois and De Gea.
With the first two semingly staying at their clubs long-term perhaps the Spaniard is the most obvious target for Real Madrid. He certainly fits the bill as an exciting and regularly ingenious star of his side.
The latest reports suggest that Madrid could make a bid in excess of the current world record for a keeper – that being the £33m (41.5m Euros) that took Gigi Buffon to Juventus.
The Express reports:
Real Madrid prepared to SMASH transfer record to sign Man Utd star David de Gea
No fee has been discussed, however it’s likely to eclipse the long standing £33million goalkeeping transfer record paid for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.
De Gea is easily good enough to play for Real Madrid, who are currently light in goal and are clearly looking for a long term solution.
We believe that De Gea is happy in Manchester right now – he will eventually move back to his homelend. But not before he has signed a new contract at United.
So perhaps he will go for a massive fee at the end of next season. Let’s take a look at some of his better moments. Real Madrid fans: would this be the number one choice for your next keeper?

If we follow the formula they all except Ronaldo left when they were in their 30s. This is just another bulls hit made up “article”. Don’t you read your coworkers work? De Gea said I’M NOT LEAVING. idiot
