PICTURE: Why Chelsea will win The Premier League

Jose has done well

Having lost to Newcastle at the weekend, Chelsea aren’t in quite as imperious a position in the league as they have been a times already in the 2014/15 campaign.

But the form of the team is still very good. The shape and effectiveness of the side is excellent and they appear to have all the ingredients for success this season. They have more power under Jose, with recruits like Matic. They have the pace of Willian and Hazard, the guile of Oscar and Fabregas and the goal power of Diego Costa.

But we believe that the most valuable asset for Chelsea this season – the reason that they will win the league – is there strength in depth.

We couldn’t help but be impressed by Chelsea’s bench against Newcastle. A lot of them would walk into the first team of most other Premier League sides. And with players like, Scurrle, Cech, Drogba and Remy, they not only have international replacements, but match-winners sitting on the bench.

Chelsea have been lucky so far with injuries this season. And they find themselves only three points ahead of City having lost and drawn of late. But, when the crunch time comes in spring, with big fixtures every 3 days and various bumps and bruises sustained by the squad, you have to say that Chelsea will have the deepest squad to deal with all these challenges and get over the line.

City possibly have the most powerful team when everyone is fit. But do they have the squad of Chelsea? We don’t think so. And that’s why Chelsea would have to remain favourites for the title.

Chelsea fans: has anyone got a stronger bench than your lot?

That’s your thought and you’re fully entitled to it. But City is miles ahead of them when their squad is fully fit and actually possess a better bench. This isn’t the first time Chelsea has flattered to deceive. Last time i checked they are now 3 points ahead. The morale would have dipped after their first loss and i can’t wait to laugh at posts like this come the end of the season. Manchester United supporter.
