Real Madrid considering scarcely believable deal – report

Real_madrid_forever

Really?

There is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and there has been increasing speculation that Real Madrid may be about to do business on another one of the their top stars.

The British press has followed up the rumours by stating that record signing Gareth Bale may be allowed to leave the Bernabeu:

Chelsea plotting sensational bid for Real Madrid star and Man Utd target Gareth Bale

Bale joined the Spanish outfit from Tottenham in a deal worth £85million over a year ago, and has helped himself to 28 goals in 58 appearances.

However, the rise of versatile midfielder Isco has seen Bale’s place in the first XI come under threat, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Luka Modric all automatic starters at the Santiago Bernabeu.

There has been a lot of bluster about this one. But, even if Real Madrid weren’t happy with Bale, selling him after just a couple of seasons would bring their own judgement into question. And the figures don’t lie. Even in a debut season which began with injury Bale smashed in over 20 goals from wide positions last season – it’s a remarkable record.

We do believe that Bale will return to England one day. And Isco is most certainly making a case for inclusion in the team. But, at 25, Bale is still improving and is physically stronger than last season. We think that he has at least one more season at Real Madrid after this one.

Real fans: do you want to keep him?
