If you follow the English media you will notice that there is a pendulum swinging with regards Real Madrid transfer rumours at the moment.
That pendulum pertains to goalkeepers – at one end is David De Gea and at the other, Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris, with Asmir Begovic of Stoke somewhere in the middle.
Reports in England today suggest that it’s De Gea who Real Madrid will prioritise as the number one target for the goalkeeping position which will soon surely be vacated by Iker Casillas.
Real Madrid are lining up a move for Manchester United keeper David De Gea, 23, and are confident of landing him, especially if the Reds fail to qualify for the Champions League.
In our opinion he is the best of the three of those players, who are each good enough to play for Real Madrid. But De Gea can become the best in the world over the next few years.
To the dismay of Manchester United fans we can’t help but think that, sooner or later, De Gea will move back to Spain.
At 24 he still has most of his career ahead of him and we think he will stay at his current club for this and next season. But after that it’s anyone’s guess where he will be playing.
But Madrid will probably require a keeper sooner rather than later. That theory would perhaps leave the other two as favourites for the transfer.
Real Madrid fans – who would you prefer in goal after Casillas?
