Game O Weekend

Even though Liverpool aren’t exactly on the crest of a wave right now, in terms of form, you should never expect anything less than a major battle at Anfield.

Jose Mourinho seemed particularly uneasy with the draw against Maribor in the week and will want an immediate return to form in the league.

Most would accept that a point is a decent return from a trip to Liverpool. But, after so nearly beating both the Manchester clubs on their own patch this season, Chelsea will be optimistic of taking all the points from a struggling Liverpool.

So can the Merseyside club halt the juggernaut? Well, as usual in these big games, the first goal will be crucial. If it goes to Liverpool then a draw is the best Chelsea can reasonably expect. If the Blues score first…. ah what the heck, it’s gonna be a draw!

Chelsea welcomed back Diego Costa for a cameo against Maribor and he should start in a very strong Blues side for this one.

Here is our strongest XI for the game of the weekend. Chelsea fans: should there be another defensive midfielder in our side?
