Real Madrid: Surprise departure?

Real Madrid aren’t accustomed to losing any of their best players and aren’t likely to make a habit of it.

Alonso and Di Maria were popular amongst Real Madrid fans but most are now happy with their squad after a superb recent run.

But news around Europe this week has suggested that Real may be preparing to say goodbye to assistant coach Paul Clement come May.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly given the green light to Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement replacing him as Arsenal manager at the end of next season.

The 42 year old hasn’t yet held the top job at any club but has gained huge experience working at clubs like Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid itself.

Sooner or later you would imagine that this guy will take the plunge and go for a managerial position because he is known as a top trainer and good communicator.

Whether Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is ready to relinquish his post at the club after such a frustrating time at the club in recent years is highly debatable.

But, at 65, he may soon decide that it’s time to let someone else take the baton at his beloved club.

Real Madrid fans: will this be a big loss or will it hardly register with Carlo doing such a great job at the helm?
