It’s groundhog day at Arsenal of course. Loads of injuries. Questions over the form of the team and their overall ability to beat the best. And no sign of an answer to those questions.
The Gunners go into a tough game at Sunderland with 7 injuries – Diaby, Koscielny, Ospina, Özil, Sanogo, Debuchy, Giroud – and Jack Wilshere suspended. Arteta is struggling a little but should be OK. We say ‘tough’ because Sunderland got absolutely battered last weekend and they will surely sweat blood to avoid any kind of repeat this weekend. Arsenal won’t it all their way but they tend to do well at The Stadium of Light and, even with the long absentee list they have enough to come through this one.
That said, you would be extremely bold to put money on this one. Poyet’s Sunderland are capable of any result, as we saw at the back end of last season.
So here is our strongest Arsenal side to play Sunderland on Saturday. Theo is finally fit again but Arsene Wenger said in his press conference Friday that he needs time before he can go back into the first team.
Arsenal fans: do you like the look of this eleven?
