Trio Tipped to move

As expected, Arsenal got back to winning ways in the league after the anomaly with Hull last weekend. And their first half of November is looking pretty straightforward with Burnley, Anderlecht and Swansea in wait.

It’s the second half of the month that may see questions once more being asked about the substance of this Arsenal side. At home to United and Dortmund. Away to West Brom. Win these 3 and the talk will be of serious progress. But it probably won’t turn out that way.

We will then be drawn back to the question of what additional players are needed to take Arsenal to the next level. Three have been touted for Arsenal today by The Guardian:

Stephan Lichsteiner – a speedy Swiss right back with a decent delivery. He’s currently at Juventus and has enjoyed 6 good years in Italy. But’s he’s 30. So not a long term option but a potentially good addition to the defence.

Pedro – Ai Ai ai! Another speedy winger. Pedro can actually play in various positions and is a very good player indeed. But you can’t help thinking that Sanchez, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott can provide enough ammo from out wide this season. Surely a defensive midfielder should be higher up the list of priorities?

Winston Reid – Out of contract at WestHam next summer, Reid has been really impressive this season and Arsenal need another centre back. But it would be a gamble bringing this lad in simply because he has no Champions League experience. has played 18 times for New Zealand however.

Let’s see Pedro in action. Arsenal fans: the right choice?
