We would be much more surprised if he missed that one.
Because, lets’ face it, you could put Costa’s mum in the Chelsea side tonight and get a result against Slovenian champs Maribor. A 2-0 win in fact. We think the the specialist 2-0 merchants are nailed on for such a score tonight.
They won’t want to go mad with such a big challenge ahead at the weekend. But they will put a strong side out to ensure they take the points.
Up top it’s a toss up between Droggers and Remy. If Jose goes with Didier it’s a like for like swap with Costa. Opting for Remy will see a slight change of style. We think that this night belongs to the legend.
Apart from that we hoped to see Schurrle and Luis get some game time but the former has an illness which could rule him out until the weekend. Nevertheless, this should be a comfortable autumn stroll for Chelsea.
