The injury to Mesut Ozil has had a knock on effect in terms of the media second guessing Arsenal’s next move.
The suggestion in some quarters is that they will invest in another attacking midfielder in January. I know! Another one!
The Mirror states that Arsene could have one lined up:

It’s understandable that he’s unhappy. He moved to PSG for big money in January and hasn’t exactly been central to the plans of Laurent Blanc. He’s only made three appearances for the club this season.
At 28 he obviously wants to be playing every week. But would Arsenal go for him? Surely if they did all hell would break loose. Because, having passed up the opportunity to sign Cesc in the summer, would Arsenal fans be happy with the signing of a very pale imitation? We very much doubt it.
What’s more Arsenal have an abundance of quality in the creative midfield areas anyway. A perfect illustration of this is that, with massive names like Ozil and Ramsey on the injury list, Arsenal can still select the pure quality of Santi Cazorla in that position.
Surely Wenger will pass this one up. Or end up with masses of egg on his face. He clearly loves playmakers but we can’t help feeling that his decision to not re-sign Fabregas is going to come back to haunt him on an almost weekly basis.
