Many Manchester United fans were dismayed to hear that their popular striker Javier Hernandez could be on his way out of the club this summer. That was until they realised that Radamel Falcao would be coming in to bolster the squad.
As it turned out Manchester United Dutch manager was simply making space to bring in another world-class player. And now it has been confirmed by the club that the Mexican will join Real Madrid on a season long loan from Manchester United.
Although Real Madrid are getting a really good player they have, for once, been trumped by Manchester United who have surely done the better business for strikers today – subject to confirmation of course.
The official United website reports:
Manchester United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has joined Real Madrid on loan for the rest of the 2014/15 season.
Whether the Mexican will get more game time in Spain remains to be seen. But with competition like Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema to get into the squad he’s got a real tough fight on his hands to avoid the bench.
United fans will wish him all the best however as he’s been a top professional for the club in his time at Old Trafford.
United fans: are you happy with the business overall or do you think that Manchester United should have held on to Chicharito?
