Really?

I tell you something for nought – confusion reigns on this bad boy transfer.

Manchester United are fast becoming the kings of indecision in the transfer market and it is hoped that Louis van Gaal can bring some order and assured handling of transfers back to the club.

Because, although the Shaw and Herrera deals have been done, there still appears to be a bit of a scatter gun approach to the summer activity.

LvG was said to have given a Plan A,B and C list of targets to Ed Woodward at the start of the summer. We can only assume that, with 3 weeks to go and no new arrivals, that these transfers are getting bungled or the players don’t want to come.

Take Juan Cuadrado. Fiorentina have publicly explained their position and how much the want for the player. LvG has reportedly name checked the player, which would lead many to believe that the Manchester United boss wants him.

“I cannot talk about Cuadrado, because if I say something about him the price will rise.”

But The Independent reported this week that Manchester United are no longer interested.

The Express counters this today by stating that Barcelona have withdrawn their offer, leaving Manchester United clear in the race for his signature.

MANCHESTER UNITED are favourites to land Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado as Barcelona formally withdraw their offer.

There are bound to be more twists and turns on this one. But one thing is clear. Cuadrado would definitely improve a team that lacks pace and precision down the right flank.

We would go as far as to say that he would be very bit as good a signing for the club as Angel Di Maria who, at around £50m wouldn’t necessarily be the most prudent way to spend the transfer kitty, as far as we are concerned.

Manchester United fans: Is Cuadrado a must buy or can Young, Valencia and Rafael da Silva do the job wide right?
