Manchester United: €79.9m Uber Deal Agreement?

Things are really hotting up in the transfer market now as the posturing comes to an end and the serious money starts changing hands.

Manchester United’s new manager Louis van Gaal has taken time to work out what he needs and you would imagine that, over the next couple of weeks, he will make some serious forays into the market.

One piece of speculation which simply won’t die down, in relation to Manchester United, is the Arturo Vidal story.

We think that he would be a perfect addition to Manchester United and reports today suggest that he’s made a verbal agreement with the club to join in a 79.9m Euro (£63.3) million deal.

The Metro reports:

Arturo Vidal has reportedly struck a verbal agreement with Manchester United to join them this summer.

Chilean broadsheet El Mecurcio claims the midfield star is ready to leave Juventus after agreeing a whopping £270,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford.

United will reportedly stump up as much as £63.3million for the World Cup star, who is set to form a new-look midfield with recent arrival Ander Herrera.

Reports this afternoon have once more sent the pendulum the other way as Juventus responded:

Chief executive Giuseppe Marotta added: ‘We don’t want to sell Vidal, there are only rumours because he is a player among the best in the world.

We think that this one has some way yet to run. The player himself hasn’t responded to the latest twist either.

There are of course several potentially outlandish parts to this story. But one which could be realistic is the actual fee.

It seems like a huge leap in fee from a couple of weeks ago. But, when you look at the market, Vidal probably should command that sort of fee.

Is he as good as James Rodriguez? Well, its hard to equate as they play in different positions. But we would have to say, on balance, yes. Vidal would probably have more impact in his first season at Manchester United than Rodriguez will at Real.

The difference between the two is that The Columbian would have a big sell on value, even if he failed in Real Madrid. But Vidal is about to play his last major contract for Juventus or elsewhere.

So, while the fee seems crazy on the surface, any deal for the player may just incorporate a price approaching this kind of level. Goalscoring midfielders who go box to box are extremely rare and Vidal proved at The World Cup that he is a genuine A-list talent.

Let’s see some of his moves. Manchester United fans: would you want him even at this price?

Nani is not the type of player man united need, he must leave the club this season. He has never created any impact for the club, and am sure Van gal will keep my player Harnadez
