Manchester United fans are desperate for news on more major additions this summer.

In times past, the £60 million spent on Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera would have more than sufficed. But with the gaping holes in the squad fans are expecting a lot more investment this close season.

The big question, at this point in time, is whether Arturo Vidal will come to Manchester United.

After talk of a deal stalling over the transfer fee The Metro reports on Wednesday that Vidal has set his own personal terms for any transfer to Manchester United.

They say:

Arturo Vidal has told Manchester United he wants a salary of at least £150,000-a-week before he’ll consider moving to the Old Trafford club.

United have been holding talks with Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich in the last few days, in the hope of finalising a £35million deal for the Chile international.

Given that Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are on anything up to £250,000 a week, £150,000 for a guy going into his last major contract as one of one of the world’s best midfielders, is not unreasonable as far as soccersweep is concerned.

Vidal could give Manchester United the dynamism and mettle that has been missed so badly from the middle of the park over the last five years.

The fact that he scores plenty of goals too makes this one a no-brainer for Manchester United.

There has been some posturing from Juventus on Wednesday afternoon but we think that a deal is still very doable.

We do feel that there will be a resolution to this over the next few days as Manchester United will be desperate to tie up deals for their major targets before preseason kicks in properly.

Let’s see some more of Vidal in action. Manchester United fans: should the club persist with this transfer or move onto other targets?
