The incredible World Cup game between Germany and Brazil last night is one that will be remembered throughout history.
Many expected that the result of the tournament would be Holland’s dismantling of Spain. But for Germany to beat Brazil 7-1 on their own patch is still hard to digest 20 odd hours on.
Brazil were awful but Germany have to take huge credit for taking their chances supremely well.
The team was the personification of German efficiency and looked so well-drilled in taking the Brazilians apart – it was like men against boys.
They were many great performances in that team but, for us, the standout guy was Toni Kroos.
This first goal he scored with his left peg was absolutely sensational and he generally ran things in the midfield without giving the ball away once.
So Real Madrid fans cannot help but be excited about the potential arrival of this guy.
Over the last few days Kroos has suggested that he has made up his mind about where he will play next season and Lothar Mathaus has gone on record to say that Real Madrid are signing a genius in Kroos.
Kroos targets World Cup before Real
One player shone more than anyone else in the amazing 7-1 German win over Brazil on Tuesday, and that was Toni Kroos who will play for Real Madrid next season.
Real Madrid seem to announce the signing of a ‘Galactico’ style player on an almost yearly basis – an individual who can add fairy dust to the team. But if they do get Kroos they will have signed one of the best team players in the world.
So whoever else Real Madrid sign this summer we think Kroos will be easily the best arrival at The Bernabeu.
Let’s see some highlights. Real Madrid fans: excited?
