Juventus look like a team on a mission. And if they can keep their current squad largely intact we believe they will be in the latter stages of The Champions League next season.
And they will obviously look to invest quite heavily this summer, as well, with speculation surrounding several major signings.
One of the arguably less exciting roles in the team, but one which still needs servicing, is that of the goalkeeper.
Gigi Buffon has done so well for so long that it’s hard to imagine anyone else between the sticks at Juventus. But he is getting to veteran status now and replacements will eventually be needed.
Juventus might be interested to know that club are favourites, with English bookmaker Bet Victor, to sign Tim Krul if he does move this summer at odds of 2/1.
Those in Italy who are unfamiliar with Krul should not be too concerned. Because he has been a revelation over the last two years.
He came from nowhere to become Newcastle’s undoubted number one keeper and has show unbelievable ability in The Premier League.
He’s brave, agile, has lightning reflexes and decent distribution.
At 26 he’s good and old enough to go straight into the first team and he has lots of time to improve his game also. Although he seems happy enough in his current surroundings (a massive club too might we add) he may well be attracted by the glamour of Juventus and the chance to step into Gigi’s boots – eventually.
Let’s have a look at him in action. Juventus fans: interested?
