Great player

We always say that there is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market.

Even if a particular rumour seems completely outlandish then it usually means that a club is looking to find a player for that position.

And we think that’s the case for Real Madrid this summer. They have been linked with several top quality central midfielders.

While many of these rumours may be hollow we believe that Real Madrid are definitely looking to reinforce the centre of their team for the coming year.

Latest reports suggest that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is to hold discussions with representatives of Arturo Vidal with regard to a move to The Bernabeu this summer.

Vidal has already proven his undoubted quality in The World Cup with some superb performances fro Chile despite not being fully fit.

He runs all day but also has real quality in his game. He’s an excellent midfield destroyer. But he also has great feet, lovely passing range and also bags loads more goals than the average midfielder (28 in 95 league games for Juventus). He’s an all-round quality player and Corriere Della Serra reckons that Ancelotti will speak to Juve about a possible transfer:

The interest of European champions for the Juventus midfielder is well known, but now the Merengues seem really serious. So much so that in Spain documenting a meeting to be held in Paris between Juventus player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, and Carlo Ancelotti, the Real coach.

We think that Real Madrid need another dynamo in the midfield for the new season. The club surely couldn’t do a lot better than Vidal.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Real Madrid fans: would Vidal be the perfect midfield signing?
