It seems that some players are destined to be the subject of transfer rumours every summer.
And it certainly appears to be the case with Sami Khedira and Angel di Maria of Real Madrid.
With the amount of transfer speculation surrounding these two you would have thought they had moved clubs for each of the last three years.
They are, however, still Real Madrid players for now. But the old reports have been rolled out about Khedira and di Maria again today – this time in relation to Manchester United.
Apparently, new manager Louis van Gaal is keen on the pair who have 48 and 49 international caps respectively.
The Guardian reports:
The Mill still doesn’t understand why some of the brightest talents in a team that have just won the Champions League continue to be linked with a club that isn’t playing in the Europa League next season but Manchester United are keen on both £30m-rated Sami Khedira and Ángel di María.
Di Maria has shown real consistency over the last 12 months and taken his game to a new level.
Khedira has been injured for a long time but seamlessly slotted back into the German national side for the World Cup and looks to still possess all the energy that he had before the injury.
Although both would be decent additions we think that Manchester United could do better. They could both cost £30m and will each require massive wages.
Many Manchester United fans would prefer to see the money spent on some young hungry stars with great potential rather than players who are arguably not deemed good enough for the European Champions.
Let’s see Di Maria in action. Manchester United fans: do you want either or both of these guys?
