Chelsea favourites with bookie to sign pricey young sensation

The Perfect Signing

It’s been a strange old season for Chelsea. We think that they have illustrated the fine line between success and failure despite an encouraging level of performance for most of the campaign.

Others think that Jose Mourinho has brought anti-football tactics back to Chelsea in their first season without silverware in a while.

There is no doubt that Chelsea need to balance defence and attack slightly better. The Blues are solid as a rock at the back but need to be a little bit more adventurous and quick going forward. Whilst Willian has immediateley grasped the nettle, other creative players like Oscar, Hazard and Schurrle have blown hot and cold in the latter months of the season. Salah is also yet to make a mark.

We believe that the one stop shop solution for more mobility and dynamism in the team is the sensational England man Ross Barkley.

Rumours about a transfer have simmered for over a year and they will surely intensify over the summer – particularly if he has a decent World Cup.

Skybet have Chelsea as favourites for his signature this summer, should he leave his club, at odds of 3/1.

We should point out that any deal would be extremely difficult to complete at this time as the player seems very happy in his home environment and his club are most definitely on the up.

But we also think that if Chelsea did manage to sign Barkley and striker like Diego Costa this summer then they would be pretty difficult to beat, regardless of the opponent.

Let’s have a look at the brilliant youngster in action. Chelsea fans: would this be the best use of the transfer kitty?
