Apart from the infamous summer when Brian Marwood was blamed with the failure to sign Robin van Persie, Manchester City have been known to get their transfer business done pretty quickly and decisively over the last few years.
One that we think could well be in the bag imminently is Bacary Sagna to Manchester City.
Some rumours over the last few days have suggested that Manchester United could also be interested in bringing the Frenchman to the club as cover for the developing Rafael Da Silva.
But Skybet have Manchester City at 1/7 odds-on favourites to sign the player before the window closes on September 2.
And it does appear that when Manchester City really want their man they do get the deal done these days. If Sagna is a serious target then the reality is that they can ensure any package for the player remains more attractive than what Manchester United can offer.
Recent reports suggest that the player has had talks over deal and we think that it’s just a matter of time before yet another Arsenal player moves to Manchester City.
The 31 year old French international, capped 39 times by his country, is a marauding right back with great athleticism and a really decent final ball. In fact his deliveries have become a hallmark of his game over the last few years – he’s a brilliant crosser of the ball and a generally solid all-round talent.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Manchester City fans: would Sagna provide little more than cover for the excellent Pablo Zabaleta and should you be investing instead in young players with great potential? Or is this a bargain?

Let Arsenal keep Sagna he’s not wanted at City. Arsenal are going to need all the help they can get next season to make the top four. Especially with that specialist in failure Whinger.

Signing Bacary Sagna is good since it is a free transfer. We were lucky last season that Zabalata was not injured.Let me also tell you that Sagna can be used as a centre back in case of emergency. Also remember we are competing in four competitions.
