Chelsea and Arsenal linked with an absolute bargain
All the talk over the last few months has been about Arsenal and Chelsea buying a super striker.
Whilst they both have potent build up play it does feel as if they could do with devastating finishers to put the ball in the onion bag more often and in the tighter games.
But you also feel that both Arsenal and Chelsea need to add more than just one striker this summer.
As well as a major name they perhaps need to bolster with one or two mid-priced targets to add depth and competition to the striking department.
And who better than Loic Remy? The QPR forward who is on loan at Newcastle looks set to move again at the end of the season as he has outgrown his current clubs and more than proven himself in The Premier league with 13 goals in 26 games this term.
The Guardian says:
Chelsea, who, by the way, are considering signing Loïc Rémy,
And he has been persistently linked with Arsenal also. Remy has bucket loads of that highly valued commodity: namely pace. He also seems better at putting the ball in the net than most of Arsenal and Chelsea’s current crop.
We think that he will go for between £10-15 million and, at this price, he represents a very low risk investment. At 27 years of age if he doesn’t do the business Arsenal or Chelsea can still recoup most of their money on him.
But his purchase would still leave lots of money on the coffers for a more high profile name to arrive this summer.
Remy’s mobility and intelligence would give both clubs a real added edge and we think that whoever gets him will be making a superb signing because his stock will only rise over the next year.
Let’s see him in action. Chelsea and Arsenal fans: no-brainer?
