It’s been another topsy-turvy season for Arsenal. You can now almost guarantee that each league campaign will ow end around March or April as their title challenge comes to an end with defeats in the crunch games.
But Arsenal look destined once more for The Champions League at least. Everton had a great chance to put some distance between themselves and Arsenal on Wednesday but failed at home to Crystal Palace.
With Man U, Man City, Southampton and Hull to come Everton will certainly drop points in the run in.
Meanwhile Arsenal have, what looks like, straightforward games against Newcastle, West Brom, Norwich and Hull. Two of those teams will be fighting for Premier League survival but Arsenal have been good at dispatching the minnows this season – for the most part.
With North London rivals Tottenham also well off the pace we think that the race for fourth place is now all but over.
Arsenal will also put in a much better performance against Hull in the final of the FA Cup than they did against Wigan.
So the great news for Arsenal is that it looks like a trophy is on the horizon for the first time in eight years and a fourth placed finish is now almost in the bag.
So let’s face it. It could be a lot worse for Arsenal. You could be Manchester United!
