Arsenal Rebuild: Wenger wants to bring this record-breaker to The Emirates this summer according to Santi Cazorla – but is he better than Szczęsny?

Better than what Arsenal have?

If you put Arsenal’s vintage spine into the current squad – that is David Seaman, Adams, Viera and Henry – no team in Europe would be able to get near them.

It is simplistic to the point of insulting to suggest that it’s easy to find such a foursome again. But we truly believe that Arsenal need to address the issue of their spine once and for all if they want to break the glass ceiling between nearly men and champions.

Arsenal do have good players through the centre of the side but not complete players. They need to bring in world class stars for these four positions and they could do a lot worse than to start in goal with Iker Casillas.

Still only 32 years of age his stock has fallen somewhat for Real Madrid over the last couple of seasons. But we are talking about the man who has broken the record for international caps for Spain – his current tally is a staggering 153. Despite persistent competition from Valdes, De Gea and Pepe Reina.

And if you gave us the chance to have Casillas in goal at Arsenal next season we would absolutely bite your hand off and then apologise unreservedly but still walk away smiling gleefully.

The Daily Mail quoted Santi Cazorla as saying that Arsenal are keen.

‘I’ve told him [I would like him to join Arsenal], but so far he has just been curious about my experience in England,’ Cazorla told Sport360.

‘His situation is very complicated, but he has to make a decision.

‘Lots of clubs want him, including Arsenal, but I think that it would be very difficult to leave Real Madrid because of what the club represents.

Arsenal’s major obstacle should be other suitors because we believe that Real will invest in a new keeper this summer. And surely Casillas won’t want more bench time.

Quite simply, Casillas is still a world-class talent with superb experience but lead still in the pencil – a really top professional and the perfect first step in rebuilding that Arsenal core to charismatic and powerful perfection.

Arsenal fans are you happy with Wojciech Szczęsny or would you prefer to have Casillas at number 1 next season? Let’s have a look at the legend in action.

Arsenal need an experienced keeper, if they take Casillas, it will be fine, even the players will have more confidence, if that happens. The quality of players at Arsenal need overwhole, the current squad is not very good, because of what we have witnessed against all big teams. So Wenger need some good players like any other big teams in the Premier League. If they fail to buy quality and strong players who can stand the heat in the Premier League, then they will continue to have same problems. I appeal to Arsene Wenger, he should not be the enemy of the supporters because supporters are pumping out their money to watch good football and they should be considered as well. Director should not have tomuch love of money, without thinking about the supporters who are paying the most expensive tickets to watch Arsenal playing.

Iker casillas is good, but i’v any one ever consider signing vincent inem ENYEAMA of nigeria playing @ lille. A GK that kept messi silent in the 2010 WC in s.a, a GK that score goals, kept 1063 min(11 games) in b/t the sticks without conceeding a goal 4 lille in the current campaign n also keeping them in the C.L position till now, playing in all lille’s matches this season consistently and the super eagles no1 4 11 yrs running. Now, What kind of a GK do Arsenal want?

Forget about goalkeepers The current guy will improve if he is given a good defense in front of him.- We need a good center forward “pair – a no 10 and a replacement for that useless French bulldozer.
We need a good strong ball playing defensive midfielder (or 2) We need to replace Mertzacker – he is to slow and ready for the veteran side.
We need to retain the services of Sagna for another 2 Seasons. Wenger swallow your pride, your hardheadedness has cost us plenty! We must fillm our bench with a few good Strong Ball playing men. No mo0re porcelain dolls like Ozil. He sits on his ass every time he gets a bump.
