Arsenal fans will want that seemingly eternal conundrum answered as quickly as possible this summer. The question of who Arsene Wenger will buy to augment the attack is central to the fans’ concerns.

While Arsenal aren’t exactly threadbare up front you would imagine that the signing of a really top striker would make the difference for them in the tight games with nothing between the sides – a player who can turn a 0-0 into a smash and grab victory.

The money set on Mesut Ozil hasn’t been an unbridled success, yet Arsenal are expect to splash out again on one big name. But reports today suggest that Wenger will continue to also invest in youth.

The Metro says that Arsenal are scouting a young Swiss striker:

Arsenal’s hunt for a new striker has taken an unexpected twist with the club eyeing up a move for Nuremberg forward Josip Drmic.

According to German newspaper Bild, Wenger has been tracking Drmic for months – and Arsenal scouts are filing regular reports on his progress.

Even at 21 the lad clearly has a natural eye for goal. He’s scored 11 in 23 for 1 FC. Nurnberg, the club he joined in 2013 from Zurich (33 goals in 88 games). This form has seen him turn out 5 times already for the Swiss national side, bagging 2 goals.

He’s quick, composed and has a really good football brain. Let’s take a look at the lad in action.

Arsenal fans – would this guy be a handy addition, if not the immediate solution up front?
