There has been a recent swell of speculation about PSG making an attempt to sign Chelsea is brilliant Eden Hazard this summer.
It is understandable that every top club in the world would want a player who is blossoming into one of the best. At 23 years of age, it looks like all of that potential is going to be realised over the next few years, as Hazard has recently added goals to his already brilliant game.
The Daily Mirror, among many others have speculated that PSG will offer silly money for the player:
Eden Hazard will join Paris Saint-Germain this summer, and has already told his Chelsea teammates of his decision, according to reports in Paris this morning.
Hazard has been one of The Blues’ stand-out performers this season after a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge.
Now, we know that PSG have pots of cash. But, realistically, Chelsea are no Little Horses themselves. Unless the player states a desire to leave there is no way on God’s earth that Roman Abramovish will allow Hazard to go. Do you think that Chelsea need the money? No sir! A glimpse at Roman’s boat will tell you that recession has down little to dent his portfolio of wealth and capital.
The only way that the player will be going to France this summer’s if he states a desire to leave Chelsea. Even then Chelsea could simply make him stay until the end of his contract. Despite what the mirror says the player himself has been quoted today as saying that he is perfectly happy at Chelsea.
“It has never been a question to leave Chelsea for me,” he told L’Equipe. “I am very happy at the club, where I still have a lot to do.
“It is an honour to hear that PSG are interested in me, but it doesn’t disturb me. I know exactly what is in my mind. No one will make me change.
So, Chelsea fans can certainly rest easy on this one. Laters PSG.
