When we say ‘proper wizard’ we mean it in football parlance of course. This guy doesn’t actually levitate or make buckets of water run up and down the stairs.

But Everton may look for more creativity in the winter window and one name that has, perhaps surprisingly, surfaced in relation to Everton is the brilliant Ravel Morrison.

After a torrid time in Manchester, which included a court summons, the playmaker opted to leave the club instead of signing a new contract. After a loan spell at Birmingham he came back to East London and has been wowing audiences with his skill and new found maturity ever since.

We don’t think that his talent was ever in doubt. But players regularly fall by the wayside if their temperament doesn’t match their ability. There wore serious concerns that this guy would become the prodigy who never got out of the academy due to his scrape with the law as a youth.

But we could see him adding even more ball-playing majesty to the Everton side and if, as has been reported, he is potentially available then Roberto Martinez could make a move.

Bet Victor have got Everton as joint favourites with Manchester United to sign the player in the winter window at odds of 6/1. While there is a chance he could go to Everton we think that it’s highly unlikely that the player would return to his old club after a slightly heated original break up.

Let’s have a look at the wizard in action. Everton fans would you like to see him at the club come February or does Ross Barkley already fulfil that role amply?
