Hull City are having an absolute dream under the guidance of Steve Bruce. Such is the topsy turvy nature of this year’s Premier League that a couple of bad results can send any team plummeting down the division. But Hull currently sit in 10th position after a super festive period in which they added Liverpool to their list of scalps and absolutely battered a sorry Fulham side.
Few would argue that Steve Bruce’s major summer signing, Tom Huddlestone, has been the shining star in the camping for Hull. Indeed he’s been one of the better performers in the whole league this season. But a club like Hull can never stand still. They need to invest again in January with whatever funds are made available but the Hull board.
One player who has been linked to the club is West Brom striker Shane Long. The 26 year old Ireland international has been at West Brom since 2011 but his influence at the club has waned of late and now might be the best time for a change of scenery.
His modest return of 19 in 80 games for West Brom disguises the fact that this is a technically very good player. He’s an intelligent team man and is still in the prime of his career.
Bookmaker SkyBet have got Hull as favourites for the signature of Long in the winter window. At odds of 5/2 he may well start February in the stripes of Hull.

We lost 2-0 to Liverpool. Might want to correct that.
