Arsenal linked with massive January transfer

Had a sensational 2 years, including nearly 50 goals for Atletico Madrid. Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked

This could swing the title back in Arsenal’s favour

Oh Arsenal are so close now. Yes, they probably need to add a defender or two, in time. But surely the most pressing need is for a striker. That’s the major tweak required in the team this January.

It’s notoriously hard to do business in this window – especially in a pre-World Cup campaign. But, despite all this, we genuinely feel that record money will be spent in January as the continued economic slump refuses to go anywhere near the top tier of football.

We liked the idea of a loan move to Arsenal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. He’s a classy player with a big future. But there are no guarantees that he would fit in straight away.

Reports today suggest that Arsenal may try to get a big money transfer under their belts in the new year. Various reports suggest that Arsenal may try to prise Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.

Goal.com reckons that Arsenal will send scouts to see the player in action before the new year with a view to signing him. You might remember that Liverpool made a bid for the brilliant hit man in the summer but Atletico fought hard to hold onto him – with 33 goals in 75 for the club it’s easy to see why – Costa has been a vital cog in Madrid’s continued upward trajectory.

He’s just an all round brilliant player with many similar attributes to Luis Suarez. So it makes sense that, after a failed pursuit of Suarez, Arsenal should be keen on Costa.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Arsenal fans do you think that there is any chance of getting someone of this profile in January?

I think Costa would be a perfect addition to Arsenal.
He would be a first player to come close to filling the void left by Patrick Veira( granted different position), who was the last Arsenal player combining great technical ability , mental toughness , great work ethics, physical presence and a bit of nastiness .

Thera are entirely too many” nice guys ” in Arsenal squad and Costa would definitely put some “hair on Arsenal balls”
